I have min SMB v2 and max SMB v3, and auto encryption. You can try adjusting the SMB advanced settings in DSM Control Panel -> File Services. This seems to be clearly an error on the macOS side. Mac Catalina has had (still has) issues with SMB connections. Older macOS clients can mount the network share without any problems as well the Linux and Windows clients. This happened after the upgrade to macOS 11.3. Right afterwards an SMB2 "Negotiate Protocol Request" is sent, which the server replies with a "STATUS_INVALID_PARAMETER". This connection ONLY drops during a copy and this is all on a wired connection.
If look at the tcpdump output with Wireshark, I see an SMB "Negotiate Protocol Request" answered with a succesfull "Negotiate Protocol Response". One last thing I tried was copying the files directly from the Mac to the Shared folder/drive via Microsoft Remote Desktop on the Mac and getting the server to copy the files, but while copying the connecting keeps dropping to the server.
